H. Eberhard Nurseries was started in Franklin Square, N.Y. by Hermann J. Eberhard shortly after he came to this country from Germany. In 1957 he bought land in East Moriches, NY and began a second operation raising trees and shrubs.
Today, the farm consists of 100 acres and is under the operation of Hermann’s son, John H. Eberhard, the second generation and his two daughters, Stacy and Lisa, the third generation.
While trees and shrubs are still being raised, many new and exciting items have been added over the years to accommodate the ever changing landscape.
